Luffy: Found

Dearest Luffy is finally home.

She is a feisty one. Keep barking on the way home. Hehe. I still don't dare to pick her up yet, the fear of dogs is still in me. Teehee. :)

It's OK. I'm gonna luuurve her so much. :)

Beloved Luffy <3
New family member. She's already whining all over for being kept in the cage. Sorry Luffy, the pet-keeper says you can't be let out of the cage for almost one week. Be good kay?

Expectation vs. Reality

I have always thought that I am someone who will be the one that starts any arguments and initiate a cold war. Maybe throw a tantrum here and there. But, I will never be the one who will be the person who gives in first. I'm pretty sure that it is not my character to be the person to give in in an argument, no matter I'm right or wrong, because I'm just someone who's kiasu and won't be the one that backed out/down.

That is what I thought.

True, sometimes, I'm still the one who threw a tantrum and started the argument/cold shoulder. My temper and ego are the ones to blame for this, I admit it's my fault. But, I did not expect me to be the one to relent and give in, to be the one who in turn tries to make the other smile and forget about what's going on.

I guess, I rather ignore my ego and kiasu-ness to give in and made up with the other person rather than being in a bad mood and stew in irritation/anger/annoyance. That's bad for both parties.

Did I grew up? Am I slowly maturing mentally? I hope so.

And I certainly hope that I improve my temper and lower down me ego so as to not get into any argument/cold shoulder. A lovey-dovey moment can turn sour in a matter of seconds, and that is just sad. :(

Wanted: Luffy (part 2)

So, after much research and consideration, if I do get a dog in the future, it would be a poodle/toy poodle. This is because my previous choice, the pomeranian, is not quite suitable for my family (namely my mother and I, my brother just wants something that's adorable).

The pomeranian is a heavy shedding dog, so, that definitely crossed it out of my mother's list.

It is also quite the barking type - as in, it will bark at almost anything that it feels is foreign or non-familiar, which definitely will not be my or my mom's choice.

So, the better and smarter choice would be a poodle/toy poodle since my mommy has experience in taking care of a poodle/toy poodle and also, my boyfie also can lend a hand in taking care of it. :)

I've gotten my mom's "ok", so all that's left is to find the right pup. Luffy, just you wait, I will get you home. Teehee.

Wanted: Luffy

First off, Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Hopefully everyone has a great time celebrating the new year and had (and still having) lots of fun during this festive season. I had so much fun this year, except for the fact that I lost RM9, everything else is goooood. Angpau money this year is WOW! Thanks so much for the blessings, mommy, daddy, aunties, uncles and cousins. I will use the money wisely. :)

Speaking of spending money, here's one way I would love to spend the money on. Recently, I had the sudden urge to own a pet; a puppy to be exact. You must be thinking, "Aren't you afraid of dogs?" Yeah, I am. So, this is kind of my way of overcoming my litte (huge) fear.

Another factor might also be because my brother'd been wanting to get a puppy as well. Then, he'd introduced me to this breed of dog: the pomeranian. OMG, it is freaking cute.

Ohmigosh, so cute!

I already have a name picked: Her name will be Luffy. I know Luffy's a guy in One Piece, but the name sounds unisex, so, yes, IF I do somehow get a pomeranian, I will name it LUFFY!

So, yeah, that's basically what this post is all about. My (not confirmed yet) doggy, Luffy. :)

Oh, and anyone knows where I can get to buy one, feel free to let me know!

Ah Beng The Movie: 3 Wishes

Or in Chinese, 阿炳:心想事成.

Having watched the previous two movies, I knew that I am sure in for a great time with some laughter and maybe a certain moral value instilled in the movie. And I was right. There is laughter, a lot of it actually. Sometimes, even just by looking at someone, you'll burst out laughing. And like the previous movies, there are some moral values instilled in the movie. The ones that I managed to discover are: do not smoke, sign up to be an organ donor, be helpful to others, trust one another, and do not think about receiving when you're giving.

I am really impressed with Malaysian production so far. We do have the potential. There are some cliches and cheesy moments, but that's OK. However, the product placement in this movie is quite obvious. Out of nowhere, OSIM (or maybe Ogawa, no idea, I didn't read the credits) massage chair made an appearance. Not to mention there are loads of Proton and Perodua cars used, but I supposed that's a given, since it is shot in Malaysia.

Anyhow, it's a great and fun movie to enjoy with your family during this festive season. Happy CNY! :)

Here's the trailer for those who have not seen it:

New Baby!

My dearest boyfie had surprised me again today with another pressie.

Surprise inside :)
I've been thinking of getting one of it lately, one of my many sudden urges, and we actually planned to drive to The Click Shop on Tuesday to get it. But, we'd forgotten, so I thought maybe the week after CNY then.

Who knows my boyfie ended up went there yesterday and sneakily bought it without telling me?! :)

So, here I am, with a pleasant surprise: the Fujifilm Instax Mini 7S - Choco

The pressies :D
My new baby, Choco. <3
Thanks biii! I love it. <3 you.

CNY Shopping

Today I went for CNY shopping with boyfie. The original purpose is to shop for his CNY clothes, but in the end I hopped in too and bought a few clothes as well.

We managed to achieve our target. He bought his shirts and pants. I bought a few headbands and a couple of shirts. :) Also, we got this pair of complimentary keychains from Padini for spending a lot! But, they looked good, and boyfie does need the shirts, so, it was worth it, I guess.

The lovely keychains <3

Note to self though, no matter how beautiful the shoes are, it's not wise/worth it to wear them to a shopping spree. I ended up with a blister on my left toe. :( super ouch.

Ouchie :(

CNY Cookies

Today mommy and I decided to make pineapple tarts for Chinese New Year.

All these years, we have the luxury of enjoying the pineapple tarts made by granny. However, this year, because granny doesn't has a maid anymore, so she can't make that many quantity this year.

So basically, this is the first time ever that I have handmade Chinese New Year tarts/cookies.

It's a tough process, for someone like me that have zero cooking skills. But, I made it!

The whole process simplified into one big picture. :)
So, whoever that's coming to my house for CNY, you have to try and let me know how does it taste like. :D
You know how it was when you're younger and you were following around your cooler and older siblings/cousins?
Where they were having fun and you thought you could join, but you were just left tagging along like a lost puppy, your every answer and comment were answered dismissal-ly or even left unanswered totally.

Well, I felt that way today.

Today I feel like I'm a total stranger that tagged along.

21st Birthday... what to do?

Mommy's been asking me whether I want to have a party for my 21st birthday. At first, I was like, YESH! I want a huge birthday party with all my family members and friends attending. To be honest, the reason why is because I've been to some of my friends' 21st and I saw that they receive loads of pressies from their friends and family members. *insert face with present for eyes*

But, when I think about it more. I don't really want it to be a really awkward event where my college friends and high school friends sit in cliques and I have to walk around entertaining different groups of friends and family members as the host.

Not to mention the cost of booking and eating in a restaurant for a huge amount of people.

So, it got me thinking. I don't want to have a big party for my 21st and yet, I don't want to spend it like any other day. What should I do? Any ideas?

Random 11.01.12

I know my friends and I had thought of various of ways to celebrate each of our friends' birthday and some of those ideas are just way over the top. Trust me, think parading around the college with a sign saying "kisiao", or walking around Summit Shopping Mall while putting on a raincoat with serious shit funny drawings all over them.

But then, never have I thought to actually go into an outlet in a shopping mall to use the computers inside to upload a video and then to proceed by having the ceremony there and then.

I don't know whether to be amazed or face-palm about it.

Anyhow, she's careless in not setting the video as private. So, my colleagues and I had a good laugh. Hehe.  Feel slightly bad though.

For those who wish to watch the video, here's the link: video

Genting Highlands Trip 2012 a.k.a. The Not-As-Planned Trip

So, remember when I said that two more items from the list is going to be crossed out? Turns out I can only cross out one of it.

Top 10 Places To Go (when I'm in a relationship)
              1. pasar malam
              2. Genting Highlands
              3. theme park/fun fair
              4. a beach
              5. Malacca
              6. KL Tower
              7. Sunway Lagoon
              8.
              9.
              10.
Yep. Went to my childhood wonderland yesterday. This trip is also the "Not as Planned Trip" because well, everything does not go according to our plan (and hence, the reason why only one item was crossed out instead of two)

Originally, the plan is to go up the highland and enjoy a whole day in the First World Outdoor Theme Park and then go down to Bukit Tinggi to have a supposedly delicious seafood dinner.

However, that is not how the trip goes.

First, the haze is too thick. Therefore, the Outdoor Theme Park was closed. That's a major boo! I was really looking forward towards finally having fun in the theme park after almost two years of not being there. So, that sucks. Boo!

We ended up have nothing to do for the rest of the day until dinner so, we decided to at least play in the indoor theme park, which consisted of very limited rides for adults. Limited as in three - the bumper cars, a less-than-one-minute roller coaster, and the 4D Motion Master. We only managed to play a few rounds of the bumper cars and the roller coaster because the line for the Motion Master is ridiculous. Even though it is an indoor theme park, but I do not consider it as such. So, item no. 3 goes uncrossed out.

We did some noob thing as well.

Like, the four of us went only halfway (not sure it was even halfway, maybe 1/4?) in the haunted house and just exited, instead of finishing off the journey because we're (the girls) just too damn scared.

Or like, in Ripley's, Reid was stayed so long in the spinning/rotating tunnel that he got so dizzy.

A few other things that does not go according to our plan are:

We planned to go to the Snow World - it was closed for upgrading.

We planned to go to the arcade - not the one in First World, but the other one with tickets where you can exchange with huge dolls - it was closed for upgrading as well.

The restaurant where we planned to dine in for dinner was already closed by the time we reached there because it was too late already. :(

But, the trip wasn't so bad. It was quite fun actually, despite all the plans go unmet.

The bumper car rides were fun! Extremely fun. Brings back the child in us. :D

And, the highlight of the trip is definitely this one. A gift, two actually, from boyfie.

One Piece "Egg Machine"

The "eggs"

The surprise inside - both are my favorite characters in One Piece
Left to right: Portgas D. Ace, Tony Tony Chopper

Absolutely adore both of the surprises in the eggs. :)

Total bill: RM61
Also, even though we did not get to eat the awesome seafood from that famous restaurant in Bukit Tinggi, we did managed to eat a very delicious, yet cheap seafood in a new restaurant. I think it's called Wing Chun, not sure though. Oops, sorry.

A meal for 4 person - complete with a fish, a pork dish, vegetable and tauhu - cost us RM61. Plus, we get free dessert - rambutan! - to eat there and also to take home (a whole plastic bag full!)

Even though everything does not go according to plan, it is still a memorable trip. I had so much fun.

A Silly List

A conversation with boyfie a few days ago reminds me of this other conversation I had with my best friend back when we were in secondary school.

Sor Hong and I (or was it someone else? I couldn't remember exactly) were talking about things we want to do when we are in a relationship. Oh, I know it sounds silly, but you can't blame us, we're young teenage girl who fantasizes about being in a relationship. Don't give me that look now, I'm sure everyone had thought about it at least once in their life.

Anyway, so I remembered I made a list of top 10 places that I want to go with my boyfie when I am in a relationship. But I can only recall a few now.

Top 10 Places To Go (when I'm in a relationship)
              1. pasar malam
              2. Genting Highlands
              3. theme park/fun fair
              4. a beach
              5. Malacca
              6. KL Tower
              7. Sunway Lagoon
              8.
              9.
              10.
Can't seem to recall the rest though. Two had been crossed out already. Another two will be crossed out tomorrow. Weee~

Alright, time to sleep. Goodnight peeps.

Malacca Trip 2012 a.k.a. Ilex Lo's 22nd Birthday

In conjunction of Phoebe oops! I mean, Ilex Lo's 22nd birthday, we had a drive down to Malacca Town to celebrate.
The gang including a barely visible me because a certain "gay guy with a bag" is blocking me

It was a day filled with joy, laughter and of course a variety of delicious food.

The first destination is of course the Jonker Street where all the yummy food are located in.

First stop in Jonker Street is the famous chicken rice balls.

The chicken doesn't really look very appetizing, but it's delicious

Next, we went to the Dataran Pahlawan Mall (I think that's the name?) for the multilayered cake.

Nadaje for the multilayered cake

The birthday girl and the cakes
Following the cake, we had a walk down Jonker Street to burn all the calories and also kill some time before heading out for the satay celup.

Cam-whoring after enjoying the durian cendol

Satay celup! Yumm!

After pigging out on all the delicious food, we drove down to the birthday girl's home in Seremban, where we enjoyed some awesome home-karaoke time.

This could've been the last trip with a big group of friends before everyone starts to graduate and part ways so, I really appreciated the trip and the joy it brought all of us. :D

All smiles, yay!

Mundane Post

Today had been a busy day.

I had finally organized my wardrobe - something that I've been wanting to do since the beginning of the semester break.

Cleaned up my room as well, though I'm not sure how long both the wardrobe and my room is going to stay organized and clean respectively.

Knowing me, it'll probably last one week? :D

Ooh! And also, I managed to fill up about 1/4 of the space in my brand new personal shoe rack! It has sort of been a new thing of mine to buy shoes. Hopefully it's just a small fascination and will not turn out to be the start to being a shopaholic. ;)

After the Ice Age

This is probably the third or fourth time that I had attempted to unfreeze my blog. Today I had been inspired suddenly to reconnect with my blogger self, though I'm not sure how long this hype will last - considering the existence of other social sharing sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

But of course, I'll try to blog as much as possible from now on. Pardon the mainstream-ness of this, but I'm gonna insert a meme in this post.

I hope I still have some readers left, probably not, considering the almost one year hiatus on updating. Regardless, I'm gonna syok sendiri and keep posting anyway.
