Just Bury the Hatchet Already

Watching the VMAs the other day just kind of rub me the wrong way. I have nothing against Taylor Swift and her songs (though they are kind of repetitive, but I still liked them), but the intro to her performance? If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you can check it out here: video (I can't embed it)

Does she have to keep bringing up the past? I mean, we get it! He ruined your moment last year.
He already paid (and is still paying) for it as his reputation is completely tarnished. Hey, it's not like you have nothing to gain from it? You got a Grammy for this. Get. Over. It. Already.

It's fine if you wrote a song about it. But isn't it too much to perform on the very same stage that he ruined your moment? Not to mention that intro video segment. Too much.

If you had really forgiven him like what your song implies, then act that way! Ever heard of forgive and forget?

If you keep using this incident to boost your fame and popularity, trust me, one day people will get sick of you.

Use your songs to get people to know you, not these underhanded methods. Maybe it's the MTV or your management/PR team's idea, but it's too much. Get over it. Stop using it as your publicity stunt.

My Current Top 4 Reasons I Adore My Beloved Country

You should know that this is a 100%-rant post, so if you have anything against profanities, you should probably not read this post.

Current Top 4 Reasons I Adore My Beloved Country.

1. We have the best citizen that would not line up when they're trying to get on the train. Hello people, WE ALL want to get into the train. But, before that, aren't you supposed to like let the people inside out first before you fucking go in? Otherwise, there will be no freaking place, duh? It's like so common sense and yet, my beloved Malaysians just could not get that idea in their mind.

It doesn't matter if you line up, NO!, those retarded people will just cut your line, push you over just to get into the train. No, it doesn't matter if you try to give way to the people to come out of the train because some other retarded people will just try to push their way into the train.

Hence, I was stuck in a human sandwich while trying to get into the car after missing two trains.

2. STUPID BARBARIC people who not only push their way in to the train, but they fucking steal other people's phone while doing it. FUCK YOU! asdfhjkl

You should know by now that I fucking lost my phone.

3. If that's not bad enough, the train that I had finally got on (the 3rd one) and lost my phone in the process, got stuck due to "technical problem". FUCK IT ALL! WTH 125 anniversary of Keretapi Tanah Melayu CILAPEK la! And I have to wait for almost 1 hour for another train. Cibai!

4. Just to freaking get the sim card/number back, I have to pay RM10. HELLO! I'm the victim here, cilapek babi. Argh!!!!

ARGH! So, in case you need to find me or contact me in anyway, facebook me or MSN me or email me. That's the only way you can reach me.

urgh!

Oh.My.God!

It's been a very long time since I last recommended a song, so here you go:

Wouldn't Change a Thing
Joe Jonas & Demi Lovato
From the Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam OST

It's like
He doesn't hear a word I say
His mind is somewhere far away
And I don't know how to get there

It's like
He only wants to chill out
Makes my wanna pull my hair out
Like he doesn't even care

You, me
We're face to face
But we don't see eye to eye

Like Fire and Rain!
Fire & Rain
You can drive me insane.
Drive me insane.
But I can stay mad at you for anything.

We're Venus and Mars
Venus and Mars
We're like different stars.
Different stars.
You're the harmony to every song I sing, and I wouldn't change a thing

She's always trying to save the day
Just wanna let the music play
She's all or nothing
But my feelings never change

Why, you try to read my mind
You try to pick up fight
to get attention
That's what all my friends say

You, me
We're face to face
But we don't see eye to eye

Like Fire and Rain!
Fire & Rain
You can drive me insane.
Drive me insane.
But I can stay mad at you for anything.

We're Venus and Mars
Venus and Mars
We're like different stars.
Different stars.
You're the harmony to every song I sing, and I wouldn't change a thing

When I'm yes, she's no
But when I hold on he just lets go

We're perfectly imperfect
But I wouldn't change a thing

We're like Fire and Rain!
Fire & Rain
You can drive me insane.
Drive me insane.
But I can stay mad at you for anything.

We're Venus and Mars
Venus and Mars
We're like different stars.
Different stars.
You're the harmony to every song I sing, and I wouldn't change a thing

But I can't stay mad at you for anything

We're Venus and Mars
Venus and Mars
We're like different stars.
Different stars.
You're the harmony to every song I sing
and I wouldn't change a, I wouldn't change a thing

Look Out!

Either it is caused by PMS (high possibility) or just plainly because of my personal problems, I find myself really emotionally volatile nowadays.

I can't stand anyone, except a selected few whom identity shall not be revealed.

Stay over from me. Stop asking so much question from me. I don't need your comments. I don't need your smirks, your laugh and your stupid looks.

I don't need your stubborn-ness. I don't need your act-cuteness. I don't need your so-called "I'm better than you" attitude/stare. I don't need your "I know everything" attitude. Guess what: You don't know anything!

I don't freaking need your breaths on my neck, so stop freaking breath on my neck.

Toy Story

Just watched Toy Story 3 yesterday with my brother. No, I didn't get to watch it in 3D because 1. I'm low on cash and 2. I never really see the point in watching any movie in 3D, but that's just my humble opinion.

I am not ashamed to say that I felt like a kid when I watched the movie. I gasped when the toys were in a pinch. I "aww-ed" when something aww-worthy was on the screen. I LOL-ed when there are funny scenes (OK, this happened no matter what movie I was in).

So, I have to say that I am not disappointed with the movie. As expected of any Disney movie, there are some values to the movie. From what I gathered this movie is about friendship and also loyalty.

In my opinion, I thought that this movie was not a let down. Usually, a sequel (or in this case, a triquel?) will never live up to its predecessors. This movie is filled with the usual fun-ness there is with Disney animated movies, great graphics, good storyline, excellent message and last but not least a great cast.

I definitely recommend everyone to watch this movie. It sure does bring back memories. :D

On a side note:

I think that if toys in real life were really like the toys in Toy Story, mine would probably be quite miserable. I couldn't quite remember which toy that I loved when I was a kid, like Woody to Andy.

I know I played with some Barbies (hand-me-down from cousins). I think I played with the Power Rangers with my brother. Some cooking toys, some soft toys.

But, I just can't seemed to remember them properly. And when I threw/give them away, I don't think I'd ever thought twice about it - just like Andy's sister.

So, to my toys, I'm so sorry. I hope you guys turned out well and not like Lotso.

Another side note:

My favorite character - definitely REX.

He's so blur and hilarious!

Celebrity Crushes

If I ever go for older man, he would be the top of my list:

Just look at those eyes. I can just drown in them.

and this smile. *melts*

and if I ever go for girls, she would be the top of my list:

She's a goddess of both looks and brains. Need I say more?

母の日

Wasabi! Time to unfreeze my long abandoned blog.

This week I went to Kim Gary for dinner twice.

Once was when I treated my Mom (and my brother and Derick) to dinner for her birthday on Friday! (Happy Birthday, ohma~)

The second time was tonight, in conjunction of Mothers' Day.

We waited for almost 2 hours for our seat because of the Mothers' Day promotion (50% discount). Well, being Klang people, we have to live up to our kiasu-ness.

The crowd waiting for their seat outside Kim Gary
Can you spot my Mommy and Derick in the picture?

Everything went well until the people at Kim Gary made a mistake in delivering the food. What was supposed to be mine, they delivered to another table.

At first, I thought that it was fine because I thought that the girl had the same order as I did. It turns out that she placed an order of a different set (though it was in the same stone grill set category).

Derick as my cover when I'm trying to take the picture of the girl who stole my food.

"I can't believe that there's someone so dumb. When it's clearly a different order, she can still eat happily" my mommy said.

What's funnier is that sometime after my food came, the waiter came to the girl's table with another set of her food. The girl's eyes looked like they're gonna pop out.

Besides that, not only that the girl can eat the set that she ordered, she can also take away the meal that she ate halfway (the one that was SUPPOSEDLY MINE).

"Wah, so nice one? If like that I also want to accidentally took someone else's food. See girl (me), she get to ta pao lar," mommy said.

My mommy just couldn't stop making fun of her. According to my Mom, it's Mothers' Day, she can say anything she want without any consequences. ;)

I'm an April's Fool

The day is not over yet, but I think it should be safe for me to assume that there will not be any more April's fool prank.

I am proud to say that this year, I only got fooled twice.

Once, because I am a true and concerned friend and the next, I am an enthusiastic and dedicated fan. (So to speak lar, frankly, these are excuses)

The first one who got me is a bunch of people I call friends. Here's what they did:

I felt so bad and guilty because I had off-ed my phone. And then, they said: "April Fool" =.= Yeah guys, good job. Shame on you people!

And then, there's Sarah. Girl, you crushed me bad. You see, she tweeted this:

Of course, me being me, forgot about today being April's Fool after reading that, got really excited and was already planning the trip... until...

Yeah girl. Thanks for crushing my dream.

So, yeah. That's it. Good job guys.

Why Didn't You?

Have you ever came across this situation?

I shoulda listened to that little voice inside my head
When I saw her in the study typing on her Mac.
The place was packed, but I still felt like we were all alone,
Then I started to lose my nerve...why am I taking so long?
I had a million questions running up inside my head:
Is she lonely? Is she tired? Does she got a man? What does she wear in bed?
But I just stood there frozen and she got away.

It coulda been me and you together walking in the rain.
We coulda been making out and making plans to run away.
But here I am all alone outside and I really wish I told her everything that I was feeling inside.

I had an angel by my side.
Why didn't I? Didn't I?
I had angel by my side.

I started to ask around if anyone might know her name.
A friend of hers told me that she thought she was single again.
That's all the info that I needed to keep hope alive.
I searched the dorm and the caf and the laundromat and the park and ride.
Then one fateful day I saw her at the top of the stairs,
So I got up my courage, started walking over there.
And as I did I saw another guy with his hand in her hair.
I guess I was too late.

It coulda been me and you together walking in the rain.
We coulda been making out and making plans to run away.
But here I am all alone outside and I really wish I told her everything that I was feeling inside.

I had an angel by my side.
Why didn't I? Didn't I?
I had angel by my side,
And I felt like I could die.

Then she turned around, she walked over to me.
She said 'I noticed you noticing me.'
I said 'Who's the guy?'
She said 'Just a friend...and I've been wondering where you've been!'
And we walked around and we got to know each other very well that fall.

And now it's me and you together walking in the rain.
And now we're making out and making plans to run away.
Cuz I was so alone outside and I really wanna tell her everything that I was feeling inside.

I had an angel by my side.
Why didn't I? Didn't I?
I had angel by my side.
Why didn't I? Didn't I?
I had angel by my side.
Why didn't I? Didn't I?
Why didn't I? Why didn't I?
Why didn't I? Why didn't I?

Why Didn't I?

The Last Song

I finally understand why the book was titled "The Last Song".

Despite my whole anti-Cyrus thingy going on, I am a little bit curious of the movie that she's going to be in. And also because I heard raving reviews on Nicholas Sparks' novels. So, I got a copy of the book.

One thing I've always hated was that the book cover was changed every time it was made into a movie (thankfully, Harry Potter wasn't like that). But, I couldn't find the original cover anymore, so I have to settle for this

instead of this
So, anyway, I think the book is good. I had never read any other of Nicholas Sparks' works, but I truly think that I love his style of writing.

*a little spoiler here*

This is a story about a girl who was holding a grudge on her father for leaving her, her mother and her younger brother. She became rebellious and yet, she still had that kind nature in her.

When her mother sends her and her brother to stay with her father for the summer, Ronnie (the main character) was really upset at first. Then, she learned of the true reasons that causes her father to leave them and also why her father requested for her and her brother to join him for the summer. Finally, she forgives her father and found out that she loves him very much. And she accompanies him in the remaining of his life.

Of course, throw in some romance, suspense, crime, drama, a little action and faith, it makes the book more interesting to read.

*spoilers end*

I don't know why, but in a way, I can relate myself to Ronnie. And to be honest, the book had got me thinking about my ways of handling things.

Ching Meng

Here's how everything goes today:

7.00am
Woke up.

7.30am
Set off to Fairy Park Memorial, Meru.

8.00am
Stuck in a jam.

10.00am
Still, stuck in a jam.

11.00am
Couldn't hold it in anymore, have to get out of the car to use the toilet in the houses along the road. (Thanks, Mak Cik!) And yes, still in a jam.

12.00pm
Mom couldn't take it anymore and decided to walk the rest of the way to the Fairy Park Memorial. (Distance from our car: about 1-2km)

12.15pm
Brother left me in the car to join Mom.

12.45pm
Reached the main entrance of the FPM. Saw a long line of cars ahead. So, decided to park the car there and walk to my grandparents "place".

1.15pm
Got lost walking through the memorial park. (It's really huge)

1.30pm
Finally got there and lighted up the "xiang" to "pai" my grandparents.

2.00pm
Headed back home.

2.45pm
Reached home!!!

It was a really long day and this is the first time (in more than 10 years according to my Mom) that it had been this "jam" to get to the memorial park. Luckily when we were heading back, Mom took another way. Otherwise, I'm probably still stuck in that traffic. Thank goodness.

Because of all this mess, I didn't get to clean the "place" like the previous years, so I feel kind of bad. But it's Ok. Next year, I'll go twice the job.

How To Train Your Dragon

Just went and watched the movie: How To Train Your Dragon. It was a sudden urge to watch after I saw the trailer on TV.

To sum it up, I think it was generally a great animation movie.

Though some part of the movie, especially the dialogues, is a little cheesy ("Er, you just gestured to the whole of me" -Hiccup) the rest of the movie is good.

The whole point of the movie: Sometimes, what the child have to say may have more significance than you thought it would be. And sometimes, parents/grown-ups *cough* have to listen to what the children/younger generation *cough* have to say.

It was funny most of the time. A little bit "gan jiong" at some part. And some suspense at the end.

Conclusion: A little bit of comedy, action, suspense and romance (really tiny bit).

But, what I like most about this movie is that it wasn't all happy ending without any loss. Like a hero fight a battle without any consequences. This movie proves to be a little realistic at the end. Watch it, and you'll get what I mean.

All in all, awesome movie, despite the cheesy intro and ending dialogue by Hiccup (the main character).
